SYNOPSIS:

The author Cesar Adib Majul describes Mabini and the Philippine Revolution as “an attempt to view and analyze the great and dramatic events of the Philippine Revolution through the eyes and mind of an intellectual leader who not only helped to trace the route of the Revolution but also left a record of his reflections upon its gains, failures, and tendencies.” The book, Majul adds, does not shy away from Mabini’s own prejudices and errors as revealed by such musings, while it explores the Revolution’s comparable aspirations and defeats.

The framework that Majul follows in the process highlights “three elements regarding the political principles and programs of Mabini.” He writes: “The first refers to his philosophical and theoretical conceptions. The second deals with the manner in which some of these entered into the official proclamations and acts of the government of the Revolution. The last deals with how effective, in practice, were these official acts.”

This reprinted edition, therefore, invites a new generation of readers to probe deeper into the mind of the so-called brains of the revolution, at the same time as it captures historical and social transformations which remain relevant in our own time.

❗️CURRENT SHIPPING❗️

If you are going to be pre-ordering an item and ordering an in stock item, two separate orders must be placed to guarantee arrival of in stock products within 2-3 weeks.

Our shipping days for in-stock items from New York are currently only being shipped at the beginning and end of each month. This allows time for packing and shipping items. Also due to the rising gas prices, we have decided to cut back on shipping days to make it easier on ourselves (two person team) to pack and deliver items to the Post Office 2x a month.
