The agung is a type of gong found in the Philippines, often played alone or together with another musical instrument, the kulintang. The agung has played a role in religious and healing ceremonies since the pre-colonial times, used to call upon the spirits, ancestors, and deities. They are also played in traditional dances and rituals. These agung earrings are made out of brass and made in Mindanao.
